Jet Age Museum 19 Feb

A very good turnout of members and and 2 guests, 11 bikes in total, for our first ride of the season.

The day started well as it was dry and a not to chilly 9 degrees. We started from Walls club and headed for Stroud via Painswick. To make the ride more interesting after Stroud we rose out of the Golden Valley at Bowbridge Canal bridge and traversed Minchhampton common in the direction of Cirencester. The views from the Common to the north was towards Bisley and to the south the Severn vale.

The ride from Minchhampton to Ciren. is on a good stretch of road for practising your limit points. At Ciren. we turned south towards Kemble, stopping for a coffee break at the AV8 cafe at Cotswold airport.

After the break we retraced our route to Stroud. At the bottom of the Toadsmoor valley we headed for Gloucester via Eastcombe, Bisley Camp and Birdlip. After a small amount of dual carriageway we arrived at the Jet Age Museum. Some members had another coffee break other members took a look round the museum or the new motorcycle dealer, Completely motorbikes, across the road from the museum.
